INSTALLATION METHOD

1. Substrate preparation

Remove the surface layer of the soil. Refill with a layer of well-permeable filling e.g. with crushed stone and compact it. Depending on usage, the sub-base should be from 20 to 30 cm thick for the passenger vehicles and from 40 to 50 cm thick for the trucks. As an option, spread the textile layer before the sub-base is placed to prevent mixing of the layers.

2. Levelling layer

Spread the textile on the prepared layer of sub-base and cover the area with a 3-4 cm bedding layer consisting of sand and gravel.

3. Laying the grids

Grid laying should be started from the corner of the prepared surface. Place the grids with the female latch directed outwards. Remember to leave approx. 2 cm of free space (expansion joint) between the edgings and grid to eliminate the impact of thermal expansion of plastics. Join the grids using the prefabricated latches, pressing them with feet or rubber hammer. Cut the grid with an angle grinder or saw.

4. Filling

Filling with grass - backfill the grids with a mix of earth, sand, humus, max. 1 cm above the grid's surface, and then thoroughly irrigate the area. Sow the grass on such prepared substrate.  Wait for full rooting. When the soil, filling the grids, is correctly irrigated, it will lower by approx. 1-1.5 cm, preventing protrusion of grass above the upper edge of the grids.

Filling with aggregate - fill the grids with aggregate, gravel or decorative stones, to 1-2 cm above the grid surface.
